Overview:
Assists the Station Manager with overseeing and implementing of Caper Radio Social Media accounts. Responsible for planning and implementing Caper Radio Live events under the direction of the Station Manager.
Duties
Develop a marketing strategy for social media
Develop content to increase community engagement online
Create a brand persona through the brand’s online channels
Utilize the social channels most relevant to the brand on a daily basis
Respond to customer queries through social networks
Work together with the Caper Radio’s Manager, Program Director, and Music Director to create compelling content for publication or campaigns
To support the co-ordination and the delivery of Caper Radio for all events including venues, agents, artists, and production management
To coordinate the collation of requirements for artists’ travel, accommodation, and technical riders
To collate artist images and biographies, along with any other required marketing materials including digital
To coordinate and develop marketing opportunities and partnerships including delivery of the marketing and communications schedule.
To provide administration and support to Station Manager for events including budgets, operation and delivery including on site event management
To assist with the management of volunteers for events
Maintains accurate records, communications, and reporting as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to recruit, retain, and manage volunteers for campus and community radio environment
Ability to review and evaluate programming to meet station priorities
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Demonstrated knowledge of computer literacy, social media, inclusion, and volunteerism
Knowledge of campus and community radio is considered an asset
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preference given to members of the Cape Breton University Students’ Union
